As the majority of the population in this region is engaged in agriculture, the residents of the settlement of Kamenare have recognized the priority of introducing water from the city water supply system. Today, after the extensive works, this settlement has finally received water from “Ćelije” water system as well.

Works on the construction of the main pipeline from the Brajkovac Tank to the settlemet of Kamenare, in the length of 3,400 meters, started in March 2017. These works were crucial to ensure healthy drinking water from the Brajkovac Tank to the settlement of Kamenare, which the inhabitants of this settlement  had been waiting for almost a decade.

"Works on this route started in 2017 when we successfully completed the construction of the main pipeline from the Brajkovac Tank to the settlement of Kamenare, in the length of 3,400 meters. Later in 2018, we completed the construction of a 120m3 Kamenare Tank, as well as a pumping station in the settlement of Brajkovac with the facilities for remote control and monitoring, ”said Vladimir Milosavljević, director of the Company.

In order to make  the whole system function in addition to the construction of the main pipeline, the construction of Tanks and the pumping station, in 2019 a Hydro Plant "Kamenare" was constructed, which meant that the works on the water supply network were completely completed, in the total length of  7 230 meters. The value of the works on the construction of the Hydro Plant "Kamenare" in the amount of  RSD 1,200,000.00 was financed with funds from the Budget of the City of Kruševac.

"These works enabled today all the inhabitants, more precisely, 106 households, to receive water, and after the construction of the water supply connection for the church, the construction of household connections will be done," - said Mayor of the City of Kruševac, Jasmina Palurović.

The total value of the investment from 2017 till now is 21. 500.000, 00 dinars. It was funded by the Republic Water Directorate, the City of Kruševac and PUC "Vodovod-Kruševac".

"We still  have not finished the works on this route. There are five other settlements left  in the system that have not received water yet. In 2018, we have done about 50 km of water supply network, this year we have done the pumping station "Konjuh", and for the next year it is planned to build a Tank "Konjuh" and other parts of the system for the settlements of Globare, Ljubava, Komorane, Lazarevac. So all five settlements will be connected to the central water supply system of Lake Ćelije in the coming period, "said the director of the Company Vladimir Milosavljević.

From 2017 until today, intensive works on the construction of a water supply system in fourteen settlements are in progress. The settlement of  Kamenare is the first settlement  where works were completed in the previous period and there are thirteen more settlements where works are intensively being executed. These settlements will be connected to the central water supply system over the next two years. Out of 100 settlements located on the territory of the city of Kruševac, 65 are connected to the water supply system; The current coverage of the water supply system, including these 65 settlements and the city of Kruševac, is 66%. The plan for the next four years is to complete the systems and to supply the entire territory of the City of Kruševac with water from Lake Ćelije.

Works on the Wastewater Treatment Plant, entered the final phase. Of the total investment, 94% of all financial resources and works were completed, while 6% are related to final  works, such as, access roads, missing infrastructure and partial arrangement of the facilities. Construction works on all main Process Areas  have been completed. All the equipment is installed, so that by the end of the month, the discharge of wastewater into the system begins, testing the equipment for watertightness, followed by four months of probation period, so that from March next year, the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) at its full capacity would start its operation.
